just say you had a “Lenny Kravitz” message board with tons of repeat hourly traffic. What would make you the most money? Google ad words? Affiliate links? Amazon.com links to his cd’s / books? I am new to this

Banner advertising that is CPM based or cost per thousand impression.

Entertainment sites tend to generate low clickthroughs — meaning users are only interested to read the content and ignore the ads. More so if it attracts repeat visitors as they tend to develop banner ad blindness very fast. Hence contextual advertising programs such as Google Adsense will perform poorly on your site (you will earn only pennies)

But if your site has massive traffic, particularly repeat visitors, banner advertising that pays you everytime the ad is viewed will be your best money making opportunity.

I suggest you join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

Let’s consider the scenario in which a banking company need to get many customers but at the same time, that bank doesn’t recruit nobody at that time. In other hands, it allows people to bring many unique customers who make the buy and generate some commissions for the affiliate. I’d like to know if

1) this kind of marketing does exist in real life?
2) if so, what is his name? also affiliate marketing or other?
